The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the stability, performance and scalability of data-network infrastructure. The role supports reliable network operations, security, infrastructure optimisation and ongoing growth while maintaining appropriate operational controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage and maintain routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve connectivity or performance issues.
• Implement, enforce and maintain network-security protocols and policies.
• Maintain accurate network configurations, diagrams and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams on infrastructure projects and escalated technical issues.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching and lifecycle maintenance of network hardware.
• Manage IP address allocation and DNS and DHCP services.
• Support network high availability and disaster-recovery planning.
• Mentor junior team members and support their technical development.
• Adhere to change-control processes and governance standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in network infrastructure and operations.
• Degree, diploma and/or relevant vendor certification, such as Cisco, Huawei or Arista.
• Experience with Network Monitoring Systems such as Zabbix.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Advantageous Experience

• Experience working with Fibre Network Operators and Mobile Network Operators.
• Understanding of video traffic management across data networks.
• Exposure to Huawei networking equipment.
• Exposure to Arista networking equipment.
